Student Loan Trust Device Programme Terms
Effective Date: 24 August 2026 · Programme Period: [insert programme period]
1. About the Programme
The Student Loan Trust device programme is designed to help eligible students enrolled at participating institutions access devices under the terms and conditions established for the applicable programme period. StudentLaptopGH.com provides the device discovery and referral platform, while Student Loan Trust handles formal applications, eligibility assessment, approval, loan issuance, and final device allocation.
2. Who Can Participate?
Participation is limited to students who satisfy the programme’s eligibility requirements. Students must be enrolled at an officially participating institution and successfully complete the required verification process determined by Student Loan Trust.
3. Laptop Allocation
Laptop models and quantities are determined by the programme and available inventory. Available models may vary by university; programme period; student category; supplier; pickup location; and available stock. A student may select from the devices made available through the Platform, but final allocation is determined by Student Loan Trust and participating suppliers.
4. Pricing and Subsidies
Where applicable, laptop prices, subsidies, financing arrangements, or student contributions will be clearly displayed before the student completes an application or payment. The applicable price or student contribution may depend on the specific programme arrangement.
5. Application Process
Students must:
- Create an account;
- Verify their account;
- Select an available device;
- Select a preferred pickup location;
- Review their information;
- Submit their referral details through StudentLaptopGH;
- Complete any additional application steps requested by SLT.
Submitting information through Student Laptop GH does not automatically mean the application has been approved.
6. Application Review
Applications may be reviewed by Student Loan Trust and authorized programme personnel. The review may consider eligibility; identity verification; institution enrollment; programme requirements; device availability; and other applicable programme rules.
7. Approval
When Student Loan Trust approves an application, the student will receive confirmation through the Platform and/or the contact information associated with their account. An approved student may receive a pickup code or QR code.
8. Pickup
Students must collect their device from the pickup location assigned to their application. Students may be required to present a Student ID; valid identification; pickup code; QR code; or other documents specified by the programme. Pickup codes may only be used at the assigned service centre and may expire.
9. Handover
Before releasing a device, authorized pickup staff may verify the student’s identity and application. Once the handover has been confirmed, the application will be recorded as Collected.
10. Laptop Condition
The student should inspect the laptop and accessories at the time of collection. Any visible issue should be reported to the authorized pickup representative before leaving the collection centre where possible.
11. Warranty and Support
Warranty coverage, repair procedures, replacement conditions, and technical support are subject to the applicable device supplier or manufacturer warranty and programme arrangements.
12. Lost or Misused Pickup Codes
Students must keep pickup codes confidential. If a student believes their pickup code has been compromised, they should contact StudentLaptopGH immediately.
13. Fraud and Misrepresentation
Fraudulent applications, identity misrepresentation, duplicate applications, manipulation of programme systems, or attempts to obtain multiple allocations may result in cancellation of the application and further action where appropriate.
14. Programme Changes
The programme may be updated as necessary, including changes to participating institutions; laptop models; inventory; pickup centres; eligibility requirements; application periods; pricing or subsidy arrangements; and programme procedures. Important changes will be communicated through official programme channels.
