Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 24 August 2026 · Last Updated: 24 August 2026
1. About StudentLaptopGH
StudentLaptopGH.com (“the Platform”) is operated by P Mobile and HOTWAV Ghana and provides a device discovery and referral marketplace for the Student Loan Trust device programme. The Platform helps students review devices and share their selections before the formal Student Loan Trust application, eligibility assessment, and approval process.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using StudentLaptopGH.com, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Platform.
3. Eligibility
Access to the Student Loan Trust device programme is restricted to eligible students enrolled at participating universities or institutions. Students must provide accurate information during registration, device selection, and any SLT application steps. Submitting false, misleading, fraudulent, or incomplete information may result in:
- Application rejection;
- Account suspension;
- Cancellation of an approved application; or
- Other appropriate action under the programme rules.
4. Student Accounts
Students are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure. You must not:
- Share your password;
- Allow another person to use your account;
- Attempt to access another student’s account;
- Provide false identity information;
- Create multiple accounts to bypass programme rules.
You should immediately contact StudentLaptopGH if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Applications
Submitting information through the Platform creates or updates your device referral to SLT. It does not automatically guarantee approval or device allocation. Formal applications are subject to:
- SLT eligibility assessment;
- Programme requirements;
- Available inventory;
- Review and approval procedures set by SLT;
- Any applicable programme rules.
Applications that do not meet SLT requirements or cannot be verified may be declined by SLT.
6. Laptop Availability
Laptop models, specifications, quantities, prices, subsidies, and availability may change depending on the programme and available inventory. A laptop displayed on the Platform does not necessarily guarantee availability or allocation until the student’s application has been approved through the Student Loan Trust process.
7. Application Status
Applications may move through stages including:
Submitted → Under SLT Review → Approved → Ready for Pickup → Collected
An application may also be rejected during the review process. Where an application is rejected, the student may be provided with a reason and any applicable next steps.
8. Pickup Codes
Approved students may receive a unique pickup code or QR code. Pickup codes:
- Are assigned to a specific student and application;
- May be restricted to a specific pickup centre;
- May expire;
- Must not be shared with another person;
- May only be used once.
Students may be required to present valid identification at collection.
9. Laptop Collection
The student must follow the collection instructions provided through the Platform. Authorized service-centre staff may verify:
- Student identity;
- Student ID;
- Application number;
- Pickup code;
- Assigned laptop.
A laptop is considered collected when the authorized service-centre representative records the handover through the Platform.
10. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Attempt to manipulate application results;
- Submit fraudulent information;
- Attempt to bypass eligibility requirements;
- Interfere with the Platform;
- Attempt unauthorized access;
- Abuse pickup codes;
- Attempt to obtain multiple programme allocations improperly;
- Introduce malicious software or code;
- Use the Platform for unlawful activities.
11. Website Availability
We aim to keep StudentLaptopGH available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance; technical problems; security incidents; internet/network interruptions; third-party service interruptions; or events beyond our reasonable control.
12. Third-Party Services
The Platform may rely on third-party services including hosting, email, SMS, payment, identity verification, mapping, or other technology providers. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Intellectual Property
The StudentLaptopGH name, logo, website design, content, software, graphics, and other Platform materials are owned by or licensed to P Mobile and HOTWAV Ghana unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials without appropriate authorization.
14. Changes to the Programme
Programme requirements, participating institutions, laptop models, pickup locations, application periods, and other programme details may change. Where appropriate, important changes will be communicated through the Platform or other official programme channels.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, StudentLaptopGH shall not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party service failures, or unauthorized access resulting from a student’s failure to protect their account credentials. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Ghanaian law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
